About Word to PDF

Word to PDF converts word-processing documents into PDF using LibreOffice in an isolated, temporary profile. Headings, tables, images and page breaks are kept.

For CVs, letters and reports you need to submit as PDF from a computer without Word.

What it does

  • DOC, DOCX, ODT and RTF
  • Keeps tables, images and page layout
  • Macros are never run

How to use Word to PDF

  1. Upload a Word document.
  2. Select Convert to PDF.
  3. Download the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Why do fonts look slightly different?

If your document uses a font that is not installed on the server, a metric-compatible substitute is used. Embedding fonts in Word avoids this.

Are macros executed?

No. Documents are converted headlessly with macros disabled.

Limits and privacy

Font substitution can shift line breaks in documents that use uncommon fonts. When no conversion engine or service is available, DOCX files are converted in your browser with a basic layout: pages become images (text is not selectable), headers and footers are left out, and complex layouts may differ from Word.

Everything happens on your device, so your content never reaches our server.

Processing speed depends on your device. Files up to 100 MB are supported; very large documents work best on a computer.
