Frequently asked questions

Why does the PDF title matter?

Browsers show the title in the tab, and search engines may use it for PDF results instead of the file name.

Does this remove XMP metadata too?

When you clear fields, the separate XMP metadata stream is removed as well so old values cannot linger there. Private data inside the page content itself is not affected.

Limits and privacy

Only the standard document information fields are edited. Custom properties added by other software are left as they are.
