About Repair PDF
Repair PDF reconstructs the internal cross-reference table and object structure with qpdf. If qpdf cannot recover the file and Ghostscript is installed, Ghostscript re-renders it as a second attempt.
For files that were cut off during download, show errors in some viewers, or were produced by buggy software.

Frequently asked questions
Can every PDF be repaired?
No. If the data itself is missing, for example a file truncated halfway, only the surviving pages can be recovered.
Is my file changed if it was not broken?
It is rewritten cleanly, which is harmless and sometimes slightly reduces size.
Limits and privacy
Encrypted files must be unlocked first. Heavily corrupted files may not be recoverable.
