Mortgage Repayment Calculator
Estimate repayment or interest-only mortgage payments from property price and deposit.
How to use this tool
Choose the calculation method, enter your values and select Calculate. Reset clears results and restores the example inputs.
Formula
Loan = property price − deposit. Repayment uses the fixed-rate loan formula. Interest-only payment = loan × annual rate ÷ 1200.
Example
£200,000 at 6% interest-only costs £1,000 monthly, with £200,000 still due at the end.
Assumptions and limits
Constant nominal rate and monthly payments, no fees, insurance or taxes. Interest-only results require the full principal to be repaid separately. Estimate only.
Frequently asked question
Is the loan paid off by interest-only payments? No. The original loan remains due at the end.
