How it works
The tool lowers JPG/WebP quality to approach the selected byte limit. If permitted, it also reduces dimensions. PNG ignores lossy quality settings.

A large photograph may need conversion to JPG or WebP, or smaller dimensions, to fit 20 KB.
Assumptions and limits
A target is a limit to aim for, not a guaranteed exact file size. Quality and dimensions may change; PNG can grow when re-encoded. Metadata is removed. Animated files produce one still image.
